So our drinks app list below is an eclectic mix: some recent, some classic and one that hasn’t even launched yet but could be the best use of smartphone technology yet (at least as it comes to drinking). I’m not talking about, say, using MasterClass to learn the art of cocktail making - it’s great, but it’s not cheap and I mainly used my laptop - but simple-to-use, free-to-inexpensive smartphone and tablet apps that provide some help. Hey Untappd Community, here’s a quick update about the latest version of Untappd: 4.0.23. Thirteen years and probably a hundred downloads later, I really only use a few mobile resources when it comes to booze. Humble Sea is world-renowned for their coastal Foggy IPAs, decadent pastry and barrel-aged. Inside these barrels contains the oldest continuous souring culture in. To be honest, the pickings for tipples have traditionally been slim. La Folie is matured in giant, French oak wine barrels called Foeders for several years. Untappd equivalent for wine I’ve been negligent in tracking wines I like/dislike mostly because I can’t find a good/easy way to store that info. Grassy melon, citrus zest, grapes in the flavor. Medium body, slightly sweet and medium bitter mouthfeel. Dankish citrus, pineapple, creamy grassy melon in the aroma. I soon learned that as my tastes changed, apps that would help me find good prices on whiskey, mixology helpers and general educational apps on wines. Timo is drinking a Cream of Broccoli by Other Half Brewing Co. I bought an iPhone in 2007 and scoured the App Store when it launched in 2008, looking for good apps for craft beer.
